April 22nd is Earth Day around the world and so this is the place for ideas of how you and your children can celebrate. Everyday should be Earth Day but Kids in Service is going to devote this entire month to focusing on things we can all do to help our planet. We have family projects, book recommendations and so much more to help you and your family focus on our planet this April.
As part of the celebration, we are asking EVERYONE out there to make an Earth Day Pledge. We hope that everyone (families, single folks, grandparents, couples etc.) will make a pledge to help our earth. What will your pledge be??

Ramadan begins in winter some years and some years begins in spring. The dates all depend on the lunar calendar and the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr happens at the end of Ramadan. Check out our special book list for both Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr. Here is a link to a calendar with the dates for Ramadan until the year 2032.
In the USA, Independent Bookstore Day is celebrated on the last Saturday of April. This is a great time to get out and support the special indie stores near you. Can’t get to the store today, click on the image above to learn how you can support your favorite stores.
