Thank You Heroes!

Rhythm vs. Schedule-4

Kids in Service wants to thank and celebrate all of the heroes who are working hard every day to keep our country safe and running. Each day for the next few months we plan to celebrate a new hero. Do you know a healthcare worker, first responder, soldier, grocery store or retail employee, a delivery driver, small business owner, teacher, a parent who is schooling at home and working, sanitation workers, a pharmacist, farmer, a warehouse employee, a tradesperson, childcare providers…anyone who is out there helping others?

Please send a picture of your hero to: communityserviceforkids@gmail.com or post a picture of them on your social media using the #KISthankyouheroes

Let us know why they are a hero and we will be sure to celebrate them on our social media platforms. Thank you HEROES!

Rhythm vs. Schedule-16
We’d like to celebrate Lisa Berge (second from left) and her daughters, Christina (Right) and Brianna (Left). Lisa has been on the front lines working in urgent care as a nurse practitioner on the weekends but just as important, she is doing her best to educate our local community through the various Facebook pages in Bedford, NH about the importance of the #stayhome movement. She is one of the most selfless people I know. She donated part of her liver last year to a baby girl and despite still needing to take precautions since she hasn’t been one year post transplant, she is out there risking her health and her family’s health for our community.
Her daughters, Christine and Brianna, are both oncology nurses in Boston and are most certainly seeing the worst of this. Christina is now working on a dedicated COVID 19 unit and Brianna works at Dana Farber with oncology patients who’ve just been told they can no longer receive these immunosuppressive agents which is heartbreaking.
And the youngest daughter is Ashleigh (middle), a freshman here in Bedford who worries day in and day out about her mom and sisters but is so proud of the hard and important work they are doing. I love this family! Let’s keep them in our prayers!! They are true heroes!–The Lennon Family
PS the letter was written by Ashleigh and left for her mom to find. ❤️
Thanks to my sister Mary Butler and her friend and coworker Melissa Senecal. They work as nurses at a long-term pediatric care facility in Groton, MA. They are super heroes! -Lisa in MA
Thank you so much to France, owner of A Simply Wholesome Life, for working so hard to keep our town well stocked with quality food for our pets and ourselves. We so appreciate all you are doing to help your customers at this time. -The Weller Family–NH
Thank you to the town of Moultonborough, NH for working so hard to keep everything safe and running smoothly. -The Parkinson Family
Rhythm vs. Schedule-5
Our hero, Lisa Armes, cares for the elderly as a nurse in Manchester. She is serving bravely by thinking up innovative ways to keep her patients positive and cheerful. We are grateful to Lisa for her service!
